Pallet support bar provides additional support to standard pallets, it allows storage of pallets which are not deep enough to fit on standard rack frame depths. 

 It can also designed to enable the storage of coils / reels of material to be compactly stored, which is extremely economical way to store a large number of reels / coils in a small footprint.

 Pallet support bar can also prevent the pallets to have more deflection for the deeper frame application.

Pallet support bars are installed across the beams, it allows storage of pallets which are not deep enough to fit on standard rack frame depths.

Sometimes wire mesh decking welded with support bars are also used for this purpose.
